The Stansted 15 were convicted on 10th December of an anti-terrorism offence under the Aviation and Maritime Security Act 1990 following non-violent direct action to try to prevent a Home Office deportation flight carrying precarious migrants to Nigeria, Ghana and Sierra Leone from taking off from Stansted airport in March 2017.
