Extinction Rebellion's Red Rebel Brigade join Stop HS2 activists at an event in Parliament Square intended primarily to highlight the risk of damage to the Colne Valley aquifer by the HS2 high-speed rail project. The chalk aquifer in the Colne Valley acts as a natural water filtration system. HS2 Ltd states that it is working with Affinity Water and the Environment Agency in order to manage risks associated with the aquifer.
