Wendover, UK. 28th April, 2021. An ecologist working on behalf of HS2 Ltd examines a tree expected to be felled for the HS2 high-speed rail link in ancient woodland at Jones Hill Wood in the Chilterns AONB. Felling of Jones Hill Wood, which contains resting places and/or breeding sites for pipistrelle, barbastelle, noctule, brown long-eared and natterer’s bats, has recommenced after a High Court judge yesterday refused campaigner Mark Keir permission to apply for judicial review and lifted an injunction on felling.
