Denham, UK. 4 February, 2020. Engineers and security guards walk across land cleared for works for the HS2 high-speed rail link project in front of the river Colne. Planned works in the immediate vicinity are believed to include the felling of 200 trees and the construction of a roadway, Bailey bridge, compounds, fencing and a parking area. There is a wetland nature reserve adjacent to a Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation (SMI) on the other side of the river.
