London, UK. 16 October, 2019. A Metropolitan Police officers prepare to arrest Jonathan Bartley (c), co-leader of the Green Party, Guardian journalist George Monbiot (r) and a group of climate activists from Extinction Rebellion using Section 14 of the Public Order Act 1986 after they sat in the road in Whitehall following a People’s Assembly in Trafalgar Square as part of a protest against the use by the Metropolitan Police of Section 14 so as to prohibit entirely Extinction Rebellion Autumn Uprising protests throughout the capital.
