John McDonnell, Shadow Chancellor, seen here with Shadow Brexit Secretary Sir Keir Starmer, Shadow Home Secretary Diane Abbott and Shadow Foreign Secretary Emily Thornberry, addresses hundreds of thousands of pro-EU citizens at a Together for the Final Say People’s Vote rally in Parliament Square as MPs meet in a ‘super Saturday’ Commons session, the first such sitting since the Falklands conflict, to vote, subject to the Sir Oliver Letwin amendment, on the Brexit deal negotiated by Prime Minister Boris Johnson with the European Union.
