ITV and Channel 4 cleaners' strike, London, UK

London, UK. 31 October, 2019. Low-paid and predominantly migrant cleaners who work in offices housing ITV and Channel 4 in Gray’s Inn Road outsourced via City & Essex and belonging to the United Voices of the World (UVW) trade union take part in a coordinated series of ‘five strikes in one day’ involving also cleaners from the Ministry of Justice, University of Greenwich café workers, cleaners, porters and caterers from St Mary’s Hospital Paddington and park attendants from the Royal Parks. The City & Essex cleaners are seeking full sick pay and more annual leave.
