Large police operation for HS2 to remove alder tree, Denham, UK

Denham, UK. 24 July, 2020. A large section of branch from an ancient alder tree cut by a tree surgeon working with the National Eviction Team falls into the river Colne close to environmental activists from HS2 Rebellion trying to protect the tree from destruction in connection with works for the HS2 high-speed rail link in Denham Country Park. 2020 is the Year of the Tree. The Metropolitan Police, Thames Valley Police, City of London Police and Hampshire Police were in attendance to enable HS2 to remove the tree.
