The Archers Wood beaver enclosure is pictured on 21st September 2024 in London, United Kingdom. The six-hectare enclosure, a joint venture beaver release project involving Capel Manor College and Enfield Council, is aimed at promoting biodiversity and contributing to flood alleviation. Two beavers were introduced in 2022, for the first time in over 400 years in London, and it is believed that seven beavers now inhabit the enclosure.
