Add to Lightbox DownloadA young swan (c), reported to a local swan welfare charity, appears to struggle alongside the River Thames on 19th January 2022 in Eton, United Kingdom. A 3km local bird flu disease control zone has been implemented by Defra as a precautionary measure following the recent identification of cases of Avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 in swans on the River Thames in Eton. Dogs should be kept on leads close to the river and swans should only be fed by charity Swan Support.
