HS2 Colne Valley Viaduct construction works

Harefield, UK. 5th February, 2022. A bat house built by HS2 contractors as an environmental mitigation measure during construction of the high-speed rail link in the Colne Valley. A viaduct requiring 292 piles driven into the aquifer, a natural water filtration system, is currently being constructed to carry HS2 across lakes and watercourses in the Colne Valley Regional Park.
