Denham, UK. 3 February, 2020. Trees in Denham Country Park. Environmental activists have occupied some of the trees as part of plans to seek to prevent works for the HS2 high-speed rail link including the felling of 200 trees and the construction of a Bailey bridge, compounds, fencing and a parking area. One side of the river bank lies within a wetland nature reserve forming part of a Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation (SMI).
