Environmental activist Mark Keir monitors tree surgeons working on behalf of HS2 Ltd to clear ancient woodland at Jones Hill Wood in the Chilterns AONB for the HS2 high-speed rail link. Felling of the woodland, which contains resting places and/or breeding sites for pipistrelle, barbastelle, noctule, brown long-eared and natterer’s bats and is said to have inspired Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr Fox, recommenced after a High Court judge refused an application for judicial review and lifted an injunction.
