Just Stop Oil Activists Detained After Throwing Soup At Van Gogh Sunflowers Painting London

Specialist Metropolitan Police protest removal officers arrive at the National Gallery after two Just Stop Oil activists throw Heinz tomato soup at one of Van Gogh's Sunflowers paintings and glue themselves to the wall beneath as part of a one-month campaign to call on the government to cease issuing oil and gas licences. The activists were later arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and aggravated trespass and taken into custody at a central London police station.
