London, UK. 7 October, 2019. Metropolitan Police officers from the Territorial Support Group observe climate activists from Extinction Rebellion blocking roads in Westminster on the first day of International Rebellion protests to demand a government declaration of a climate and ecological emergency, a commitment to halting biodiversity loss and net zero carbon emissions by 2025 and for the government to create and be led by the decisions of a Citizens’ Assembly on climate and ecological justice.
