Harefield, UK. 19 January, 2020. Early morning mist lies across a lake in Colne Valley Regional Park across which a 3.4 km-long viaduct would be constructed should plans for the HS2 high-speed rail link be approved. Bailiffs acting for HS2 have been evicting Save the Colne Valley and Stop HS2 activists from the Colne Valley wildlife protection camp alongside the lake for the past week and a half. 108 ancient woodlands are set to be destroyed by the high-speed rail link.
