HS2 Eviction Of Poors Piece Conservation Project Steeple Claydon

Steeple Claydon, UK. 24 February, 2021. An anti-HS2 activist lies on the ground after having been arrested by Thames Valley Police officers during an operation to remove activists opposed to the high-speed rail link from ancient woodland known as Poors Piece. Thames Valley Police stepped in to replace National Eviction Team bailiffs. The activists created the Poors Piece Conservation Project in the woodland in spring 2020 after having been invited to stay on the land by its owner, farmer Clive Higgins.
