London, UK. 29 October, 2019. A woman exiting the building shows support for outsourced workers belonging to the United Voices of the World (UVW) trade union protesting outside the office of the Chief Executive of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust Professor Tim Orchard at St Mary's Hospital Paddington. Around 200 migrant cleaners, porters and caterers outsourced via Sodexo, one of the world’s largest multinational corporations, are striking for equal pay, conditions and treatment with broadly equivalent NHS colleagues who are paid £6,000-10,000 p.a. more and have scheduled 12 days of strike action.
