HS2 Eviction Of Poors Piece Conservation Project Steeple Claydon

Steeple Claydon, UK. 24 February, 2021. Thames Valley Police officers arrest an activist opposed to the HS2 high-speed rail link after evicting him from ancient woodland known as Poors Piece. Thames Valley Police stepped in to replace National Eviction Team bailiffs. The activists created the Poors Piece Conservation Project in the woodland in spring 2020 after having been invited to stay on the land by its owner, farmer Clive Higgins.
