Add to Cart Add to Lightbox DownloadJo Bateman (c, holding blue sign) and campaigners from Good Law Project hold up signs in Parliament Square calling for protection of the right to swim on 10th September 2024 in London, United Kingdom. They had earlier presented a petition in Downing Street calling on the government to impose stricter penalties for water company offences and to prioritise urgent action for a cleaner and safer swimming environment. Jo Bateman is taking legal action against South West Water in relation to untreated sewage being transported to a pumping station near Exmouth where sewage had already been spilling into the sea.
