London, UK. 12 November, 2019. Ian Hodson, National President of the Bakers Food & Allied Workers Union (BFAWU) addresses McDonald’s workers assembled opposite Downing Street during strike action, dubbed a ‘McStrike’, to call for a New Deal for McDonald’s Workers which would include £15 an hour, an end to youth rates, the choice of guaranteed hours of up to 40 hours a week, notice of shifts four weeks in advance and union recognition.
