Wendover, UK. 28th April, 2021. A protection camp occupied by activists opposed to the HS2 high-speed rail link in ancient woodland at Jones Hill Wood in the Chilterns AONB. Felling of the woodland, which contains resting places and/or breeding sites for pipistrelle, barbastelle, noctule, brown long-eared and natterer’s bats, has recommenced after a High Court judge yesterday refused campaigner Mark Keir permission to apply for judicial review and lifted an injunction on felling.
