Environmental activists continue to monitor HS2 works, Denham, UK

An environmental activist from Extinction Rebellion climbs an oak tree in Denham Country Park designated for felling as part of works associated with the HS2 high-speed rail link. Works planned in the immediate vicinity include not only the felling of mature trees but also the construction of a Bailey bridge, compounds and fencing, some of which in a wetland nature reserve forming part of a Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation (SMI).
