HS2 Eviction Of Poors Piece Conservation Project Steeple ClaydonAdd to Lightbox Download
Steeple Claydon, UK. 24 February, 2021. A man in high-visibility clothing examines a tree during the felling by HS2 Ltd of a section of ancient woodland known as Poors Piece. Activists currently being evicted from the site created the Poors Piece Conservation Project there in spring 2020 after having been invited to stay on the land by its owner, farmer Clive Higgins. Local village communities have been hugely impacted by HS2, with 550 acres of land seized including a large section of a nature reserve.
