Thames Valley Police officers acting on behalf of HS2 Ltd use a cherry picker to attempt to evict activists opposed to the HS2 high-speed rail link from ancient woodland known as Poors Piece. Thames Valley Police stepped in to replace National Eviction Team bailiffs. The activists created the Poors Piece Conservation Project in the woodland in spring 2020 after having been invited to stay on the land by its owner, farmer Clive Higgins.
