An earth protector pulls a pallet up a tree after activists from Extinction Rebellion, Stop HS2 and Save the Colne Valley reoccupied the Harvil Road wildlife protection camp on the second day of a three-day ‘Stand for the Trees’ protest in the Colne Valley timed to coincide with tree felling work by HS2. Bailiffs acting for HS2 had evicted all but two activists from the camp the previous week. 108 ancient woodlands are set to be destroyed by the high-speed rail link.
