Stand for the Trees/Stop HS2 protest begins, Harefield, UK

Sarah Green of Save Colne Valley leads activists from Stop HS2 and Extinction Rebellion on a tour of sites where HS2 has destroyed and is intending to destroy trees at the beginning of a three-day ‘Stand for the Trees’ protest in the Colne Valley. The event has been timed to coincide with tree felling work by HS2 adjacent to the site of Stop HS2’s Colne Valley wildlife protection camp. 108 ancient woodlands are set to be destroyed by the high-speed rail link.
