Large police operation for HS2 to remove alder tree, Denham, UK

Environmental activists from HS2 Rebellion, including Swan (l) and Larch (r) on a line above the shallow river Colne, try to protect an ancient alder tree from destruction in connection with works for the HS2 high-speed rail link in Denham Country Park. A large policing operation involving the Metropolitan Police, Thames Valley Police, City of London Police and Hampshire Police as well as the National Eviction Team was put in place to enable HS2 to remove the tree.
