An environmental activist from Fossil Free Newham joins local residents protesting against the construction of the Silvertown Tunnel on 5th June 2021 in London, United Kingdom. Campaigners opposed to the controversial new £2bn road link across the River Thames from the Tidal Basin Roundabout in Silvertown to Greenwich Peninsula argue that it is incompatible with the UK's climate change commitments because it will attract more traffic and so also increased congestion and air pollution to London's most polluted borough.
