Large police operation for HS2 to remove alder tree, Denham, UK

Swan (l) and Larch (r), environmental activists from HS2 Rebellion, use a line above the shallow river Colne attached to an ancient alder tree to try to protect it from destruction in connection with works for the HS2 high-speed rail link in Denham Country Park. A large policing operation involving the Metropolitan Police, Thames Valley Police, City of London Police and Hampshire Police as well as the National Eviction Team was put in place to enable HS2 to remove the tree.
