A 3km local bird flu disease control zone has been implemented by Defra as a precautionary measure following the recent identification of cases of Avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 in swans on the River Thames in Eton. Dogs should be kept on leads close to the river and swans should only be fed by charity Swan Support.
