On 18th June, Heathrow will publish its airspace and future operations consultation on its “master plan” for Heathrow expansion following approval in principle of a third runway by MPs last year. Heathrow is expected to increase the number of flights from the current cap of 480,000 per year imposed when Terminal 5 was built to 505,000 per year in 2021 and to 740,000 per year should a third runway be constructed.
