Environmental activists continue to monitor HS2 works, Denham, UK

Denham, UK. 6 February, 2020. Denham Ford in early morning mist. Works planned for the HS2 high-speed rail link in the immediate vicinity include the construction of a Bailey bridge across the ford (a roadway has been laid on the far bank for this purpose) and a compound in Denham Country Park requiring the felling of mature trees. Some of the site lies within a wetland nature reserve forming part of a Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation (SMI).
