Heathrow airport operating normally, London, UK

London, UK. 19th April, 2019. A group of senior police officers meets alongside the main motorway approach to Heathrow airport following a small protest earlier by Extinction Rebellion Youth. A large policing operation was put in place in and around the airport in preparation for expected protests by climate change activists from Extinction Rebellion. Only a very small symbolic protest by teenage activists from Extinction Rebellion Youth took place, dispersed by police officers under threat of arrest.
