Animal rights activists from Extinction Rebellion show solidarity with a fellow activist arrested by City of London police officers at Smithfield meat market during the Animal Rebellion on the first day of International Rebellion protests to demand a government declaration of a climate and ecological emergency, a commitment to halting biodiversity loss and net zero carbon emissions by 2025 and for the government to create and be led by the decisions of a Citizens’ Assembly on climate and ecological justice.
