The site, which is owned by Tilehurst Poor's Land Charity (TPLC), has been earmarked for housing. Local residents and allotment holders campaigning as Keep Kentwood Green for the land to be protected from development claim that the presence of badgers, foxes, slow worms, muntjac deer and red kite has been recorded at the site.
