Keep Kentwood Green Campaign Tilehurst
Add to Cart Add to Lightbox DownloadTilehurst, UK. 26th September, 2022. A protest poster is pictured attached to fencing erected by groundwork contractors alongside a wildlife-rich area of woodland between Armour Hill and Kentwood Hill believed to be in jeopardy as a result of imminent pre-survey clearance work. Part of the site, adjacent to allotments, which is owned by Tilehurst Poor's Land Charity (TPLC), has been earmarked for housing. Local residents and allotment holders are campaigning as Keep Kentwood Green for the land to be protected from development and assert that the presence of badgers, foxes, slow worms, muntjac deer, bats and red kite should prevent clearance, survey and development work.
