Activists from Extinction Rebellion, Stop HS2 and Save the Colne Valley attending a ‘Stand for the Trees’ event timed to coincide with tree felling work for HS2 have retaken the camp from which a small group of Save the Colne Valley activists had been evicted by bailiffs acting on behalf of HS2 over the previous week and a half. 108 ancient woodlands are set to be destroyed by the high-speed rail link.
