Stand for the Trees/Stop HS2 protest begins, Harefield, UK

Activists from Stop HS2 and Extinction Rebellion are beginning a three-day ‘Stand for the Trees’ protest there timed to coincide with tree felling work by HS2. Bailiffs acting for HS2 have been evicting Stop HS2 activists from the camp for the past week and a half. 108 ancient woodlands are set to be destroyed by the high-speed rail link.
