London, UK. 10th September, 2024. Jo Bateman presents a Right to Swim petition at 10 Downing Street accompanied by campaigners from Good Law Project. The petition calls on the government to impose stricter penalties for water company offences and to prioritise urgent action for a cleaner and safer swimming environment. Jo Bateman is taking legal action against South West Water in relation to untreated sewage having been transported to a pumping station near Exmouth where sewage had already been spilling into the sea.
