London, UK. 7th September, 2024. Tens of thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters take part in the 18th National March for Palestine from Regent Street St James's to a rally near to the Israeli embassy. The march and rally were organised by Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Stop the War Coalition, Friends of Al-Aqsa, Muslim Association of Britain, Palestinian Forum in Britain and CND to demand an end to Israel’s human rights abuses in Gaza and to call on the new UK Labour government to withdraw its support from Israel. The Metropolitan Police had previously imposed unusually restrictive conditions on the march, particularly around its timing, but withdrew them 24 hours before the march.
