London, UK. 1st May, 2024. People protest outside Downing Street against the UK government's recently passed Safety of Rwanda bill and plans for deportation flights. The emergency protest, led by Iraqi and Iranian refugee groups and attended by trade unionists, the Labour Campaign for Free Movement and other refugee organisations, called for an immediate halt to the Rwanda deportation plan, for the release of all detained asylum seekers and for an end to immigration detention.
