The Candid Arts Centre, run by self-funded registered charity Candid Arts Trust, was set up in 1989 and comprises 25 artist studios, 3 galleries, drawing & sculpture studios and a cafe. For the past year, its activities, and so also its revenue, have been seriously impacted by noise and disruption from demolition works for the Angel Square development opposite and it now faces imminent closure.
