London, UK. 19th January, 2024. Supporters of PETA dressed as bears, some in bear masks, stage a die-in lying on Union Jacks in front of the Ministry of Defence’s (MoD) headquarters to protest against the slaughter of Canadian black bears for bearskin caps worn by the King's Guard. A recent PETA video revealed how the black bears used to provide the bearskin caps are baited with food, shot with crossbows, disembowelled and dismembered by recreational hunters in Canada.
