Parents and children take part in a multifaith 'Christmas Is Cancelled In Palestine' event organised by Parents for Palestine outside Westminster Abbey and, later, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCO) to highlight the plight of Palestinian children in Gaza. Parents for Palestine, who displayed handmade cardboard rubble and sang adapted Christmas carols, called on British politicians to demand an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the cessation of arms sales to Israel. According to statistics supplied by the Palestinian Health Ministry, considered reliable by international bodies including the UN and the Red Cross, at least 8,000 Palestinian children have been killed since 7th October during Israel's assault on Gaza, with many more believed to be still buried among the rubble.
