Parents and children from Parents for Palestine deliver outside Downing Street an open letter to UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak signed by over 13,000 parents calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. The delivery of the letter, 9m in length, was timed to coincide with the debate in Parliament of a petition calling on the UK government to "seek a ceasefire and also seek to address the root cause of the current conflict by promoting dialogue and advocating for the end of Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip.” Shortly before, parents and children attempted to deliver the open letter at Conservative Campaign Headquarters (CCHQ) but delivery of the letter was not accepted by CCHQ. According to Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, over 10,000 Palestinian children have been killed as a result of Israeli military action in Gaza, 25,000 have lost one or both parents and 640,000 have lost their homes.
