Windsor, UK. 1st May, 2023. Morris dancers from Datchet Border Morris celebrate May Day on Windsor Bridge. May Day is an ancient European festival which marks the beginning of summer and falls between the spring equinox and the summer solstice. Datchet Border Morris is an all-male dance side with a mixed band from Datchet in Berkshire. Its red and black colours derive from the county flag of Buckinghamshire of which Datchet once formed part.
