Striking junior doctors who are members the British Medical Association (BMA) hold signs at official picket lines outside St Mary's Hospital and University College Hospital (UCH) and, later, gather in Whitehall outside Downing Street. Today is the first day of the biggest strike of BMA junior doctors in the history of the NHS. Junior doctors are asking for a 35% pay rise to compensate for inflation since 2008.
