London, UK. 10th February, 2023. Metropolitan Police officers carry out checks on vehicles used by couriers during a pre-planned operation in Walthamstow to seize bicycles illegally modified to become mechanically propelled vehicles, mechanically propelled vehicles ridden without a licence or insurance and e-scooters. The Metropolitan Police officer in charge of the operation advised that complaints had been received of bicycles being ridden at high speeds in the local area.
