23 images Created 12 Oct 2021

Wendover, UK. 10th October, 2021. Enforcement agents from the National Eviction Team (NET), facilitated by Thames Valley Police officers, commence the eviction of environmental activists opposed to the HS2 high-speed rail link from Wendover Active Resistance (WAR) camp. WAR camp, which contains tree houses, tunnels, a cage and a 15-metre tower, is currently the largest of the protest camps set up by Stop HS2 activists along HS2's Phase 1 route between London and Birmingham. It was set up in January 2020 (my images of the camp in January 2020 appear here: https://markkerrison.photoshelter.com/gallery/2020-01-10-Stop-HS2-Wendover-Active-Resistance-Camp/G0000JameDeWZbDo) on land owned by Buckinghamshire County Council, but the land was subsequently leased to HS2 Ltd.
